World Heavyweight Championship, The Judgement Day barred from ringside: Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre
Undisputed WWE Championship I Quit Match: Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn vs. Chad Gable
WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley vs. Piper Niven
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vs. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark
In a match that spanned the ring, crowd, and backstage area, WWE’s first I Quit match in 2 years was controlled by AJ Styles, who used every trick in the book to maintain the advantage over ‘The American Nightmare’. Handcuffing Rhodes deep into the match allowed Styles to whip a bloodied Cody with both a kendo stick and a belt, though his confronting of Rhodes’ mother Michelle was a step too far, providing the fuel that Cody needed to fight back into the match. Tossing a steel chair off the head of a springboarding AJ Styles sent him through a table and saw the remainder of the match dominated by the defending Undisputed WWE Champion, hitting a trilogy of Cross Rhodes’, the final one being across said chair. Cuffing ‘The Phenomenal One’ to the ropes, Rhodes brutally beat him down with a chair before securing the win after threatening to crush AJ’s face with the steel steps; Cody hit Styles with the stairs post-match regardless. Cody Rhodes’ reign continues at 69 days.
Following the match, Solo Sikoa confronted Cody Rhodes, distracting him long enough for Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to ambush the Undisputed WWE Champion. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens came to Rhodes’ aid, chasing The Bloodline backstage.
With one member from each team legal at a time, this three-team encounter was fought with intensity as hometown heroes Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn vyed for their first main roster gold, staying out of the action early on as Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, and Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark collided. A Tower of Doom spot and multiple dives to ringside saw the match breakdown, as Jade Cargill slipped while attempting a springboard and Bianca Belair overshoot on a 450 Splash attempt. Their Wheelbarrow DDT-Suplex combination on Shayna Baszler saw Isla Dawn capitalise, removing Cargill from the equation while Alba Fyre held on to Belair’s legs, scoring the three count to lift the titles. They were presented with flowers from family members post-match, while Alba Fyre’s husband and ex-pro wrestler Stevie Boy Xavier embraced her, too. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill’s reign ends at 42 days.

Wrestling what was the expected technical portion of the night, Sami Zayn and Chad Gable went move-for-move with each other, Zayn utilising a fast-paced, high-flying range of offence to keep his hands on the workhorse championship, while Gable relied on his Olympic wrestling skills to win his first singles championship. Maxxine Dupri and Otis remained conflicted on whether or not to get involved in the bout, angering Chad Gable who came face-to-face with Otis before being wiped out with a Tope con Hilo from Zayn. An Ankle Lock at ringside saw Zayn counter, rolling forward and causing Chad to accidentally wipe out Maxxine’s injured leg. This led to Otis carrying her out of the OVO Hydro as Zayn Helluva Kicked Gable to retain the Intercontinental Championship as Chad Gable once again came up short. Sami Zayn’s reign continues at 70 days.
Cathy Helly interviewed new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn backstage.
Despite being greatly outmatched by Piper Niven, Bayley took the fight to Scotland’s ‘Vixen of Violence’, being inadvertantly helped by Chelsea Green after she got herself ejected from ringside early on. Niven’s power-based offence ensured Bayley didn’t have an easy night, with a leaping Senton garnering a near-fall, as did a Bayley to Belly courtesy of ‘The Role Model’. A masked Chelsea Green returned to ringside as the match neared its conclusion, which provided a distraction long enough for Piper Niven to gain another close count after a Piper Driver before Bayley put her away via Crucifix Driver. Bayley’s reign continues at 69 days.
Glasgow’s Tom ‘The Albatross’ Stoltman, the World’s Strongest Man, was shown sitting in the crowd.
Drew McIntyre was played to the ring by the Inveraray and District Pipe Band piping Scotland The Brave.
Being played to the ring by the Inveraray and District Pipe Band, Drew McIntyre received a hero’s welcome upon his entrance into the OVO Hydro, dominating the early portion of the match as he nailed a Tope con Hilo minutes into the match. A similar attempt at the move courtesy of Damian Priest saw his leg scarily get caught in the ropes. As the match progressed, both men traded finishers, with Priest kicking out of a Claymore while ‘The Scottish Warrior’ evaded a loss following a Razor’s Edge. Referee Eddie Orengo was sent flying off the ring apron near the end of the match, followed by another Claymore from Drew McIntyre. A second referee entered the ring, counting to two before pausing and revealing himself as CM Punk, kicking Drew below the belt. A South of Heaven from Damian Priest put McIntyre away as a vengeful Punk looked on, heckled by the Glasgow faithful. Damian Priest’s reign continues at 69 days.
