Spoiler Warning for Survivor Series Match

Is the WWE changing up a match at Survivor Series? The following report contains a potential spoiler about the 25 November Survivor Series: War Games PLE so click here and read another fine article from WrestleLamia if you're not a fan of spoilers.

Anything Can Happen in the WWE (Spoiler Alert)

Anything can happen in the WWE and it's a well-established principle that wrestling fans love surprises when they're handled right. For example, the WWE Universe dug Bayley's return at 2022's SummerSlam, particularly when she introduced her faction Damage-CTRL. On the other hand, fans were disgusted when the suspenseful "Higher Power" angle culminated with the reveal that "The Higher Power" was Vince McMahon.

Now, it looks like fans waiting to see Carlito throw down with Santos Escobar may be in for a disappointment. WrestleVotes is reporting:

Santos Escobar's heel turn has led to the rest of the Latino World Order standing tall against him, especially after he injured Rey Mysterio. Veteran grappler Carlito seemed like a good choice to challenge Escobar while Rey Mysterio recovers from his kayfabe injury (and deals with his real-life knee injury).

If Dragon Lee does wrestle Santos, it could be the best match of the night. Both Superstars are fantastic performers. Rumor has it that the WWE is building up Dragon Lee to be a Superstar who can carry on Rey Mysterio's legacy. A break-out performance against Escobar at one of the WWE's "Big Four" PLEs could be the moment he needs to show he's more than another luchador.

As for Escobar, his microphone work and heel work has been well-received. Even though Escobar is 39, he could be a solid upper-card or even main event talent. Judging from the prominent storyline he's featured in, the WWE has some big things ahead for him.

Would you be disappointed if Dragon Lee took Carlito's place against Santos Escobar?
