R-Truth's Role in Group is No Whim
Which member of The Judgment Day asked for R-Truth to work with the group? R-Truth's recent efforts to join RAW's rogue faction have been hilarious, with fans enjoying R-Truth's latest comedic storyline.
R-Truth was out of action for over a year after reportedly tearing a quad during a match against Grayson Waller. R-Truth returned on RAW in late November and before long, he was in a program with one of RAW's hottest acts and arguably the most successful faction in the WWE.
The 54-time (give or take a few) 24/7 Champion recently spoke with Busted Open Radio about his program with The Judgment Day:
"I was happy. I was ready to get out of the house and go back to the sport that I love. When they said I was working with Judgment Day, I was like, 'Let's do it. What are we doing?' They could have said I was working with anybody and I was ready. I will say this, Judgment Day, they all want me,"
R-Truth explained that things started off on the right foot, with El Senor Money in the Bank enjoying working with him. In fact, R-Truth explained that he didn't have to lobby to continue working with the group thanks to Priest:
"Just the first promo. I will say Damian Priest, he was like, 'Bro, we should keep you around. This thing is working.' He actually went to, I think it was Hunter [Triple H] and the writers. Damian Priest fought for it."
H/T Fightful
According to R-Truth, joining The Judgment Day has been a lifelong dream. While fans can often get confused trying to understand the inner workings of R-Truth's amazing mind, a recent video sums up how things came to be for him joining the group (at least he believes he's in the group).
