Who is It?
Tony Khan has announced he will sign "one of the world's best wrestlers" at AEW Full Gear this Saturday. The AEW President posted the following on X:
Who is the wrestler Khan is describing as "one of the world's best?" AEW's President needs to deliver as Khan's last huge announcement turned out to be a dud in some fans' eyes. Khan stated he had a big announcement on Dynamite and it turned out to be news on a pre-sale for AEW's 2024 All In stadium show.
The biggest name that stands out is Mercedes Mone (aka former WWEÂ Superstar Sasha Banks). AEWÂ reportedly wanted to bring Banks in for its Forbidden Door 2 show but Mone's ankle injury nixed any chance of happening.

An equally important question is whether AEW will use this newly signed wrestler for long. AEW needs to break its bad habit of bringing in big names only for them to disappear after a week or two of matches. It's difficult to imagine someone like Mercedes Mone signing with AEW and putting up with this kind of treatment.
