Shelton Benjamin’s WWE release last year came as a huge surprise, as despite Benjamin mainly being used on WWE Main Event and live events, Benjamin had a picture-perfect reputation, and he could have easily transitioned into a trainer role.

Benjamin addressed his status as a pro wrestler on a recent Twitch stream, and the former Intercontinental Champion thankfully confirmed that he’s not done wrestling:

“Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed [it]. I hope to give you [a] few years more, ’cause I’m not done yet. Not quite.”

It’s unknown if The Gold Standard has interest in joining another company such as AEW, but whatever Benjamin decides to do, no doubt his fans will support his next wrestling endeavour.
