They've Come A Long Way.

Seth Rollins recently took time at a WWE live event in Monterrey to honor Rey Mysterio. Seth was in the ring with Rey when he remarked:

“Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, and for everyone else in the history of this business. We love you. You’re the best.”

The pair have come a long way since Extreme Rules: Horror Show, where they fought in a literal 'Eye for an Eye' match. For those you don't remember, in the closing moment of the match, Seth Rollins literally took out Rey Mysterio's eye.

WWE wanted to make the moment as real as possible, making a statement on their website that read:

“Medical experts were optimistic that if the optic nerve is not severed and there is not too much strain on the blood vessels and nerves that connect the eye to the rest of the head, there's a chance Mysterio can maintain his vision.”

Rey Mysterio’s status as a living legend is undeniable but it’s even more impressive when some of his fellow wrestlers honor him. What do you think of “The Visionary’s” praise for Mysterio?
