Former WWE star and Too Cool member Scotty 2  Hotty debuted at AEW New Year's Smash.

Scotty 2 Hotty has been an AEW coach for the company but frequently wrestles on the independent scene. It's been reported that he's been considered for matches in the past and has always been open to performing for them in addition to his coaching duties.

Scotty teamed up with The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn to take on the Gunn Club, Matt Menard, and Jake Haegar. The team was victorious, picking up the win thanks to Scotty 2 Hotty hitting the worm.
