Fans were hoping Orton would return at SummerSlam.

Fightful Select have offered an update on the potential in-ring return of WWE Legend, Randy Orton.

According to a new report, Orton isn’t yet cleared to return to the ring, and he isn’t factored into any creative plans.

The former WWE Champion has resumed working out, but hasn’t resumed bumping in the ring, and will likely be brought into the WWE Performance Center to do so.

Orton last appeared on WWE programming back in May of last year.

Fans have been hoping that Orton will make an appearance at SummerSlam this weekend, but judging by the status of Orton’s in-ring status, this doesn’t seem likely.
