Reckon you can name every royal finalist from WWE’s esteemed King of the Ring tournament?
WWE will crown its first King of the Ring in almost three years one week from today.
First established in 1985 and first broadcast via pay-per-view in 1993, the King of the Ring tournament has long been beloved by WWE’s fanbase, which has traditionally coupled well with WWE’s deft booking of the tournament and its eventual victor, with the namesake pay-per-view having hosted breakthrough moments; namely, the transformation of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin in 1996.
The 2024 King of the Ring, due to emanate from the Jeddah Super Dome and also hosting a Queen of the Ring tournament, will see the winner take on the throne left dormant by the previous King, Xavier Woods, whose 2021 victory over Finn Bálor saw him join a succession of WWE luminaries, from Hall of Famers Bret Hart and Booker T to European greats, such as Wade Barrett and William Regal.
GUNTHER, Jey Uso, Randy Orton, or Tama Tonga will succeed him as the king of the squared circle but before then, can you name every other finalist? You have six minutes. Good luck!
