Oh flower of Scotland, can you name every Scottish-born WWE Superstar in history?
On this day in 2009, both Joe Coffey and Alba Fyre made their professional wrestling debuts.
Part of a contingent of Scottish-born talent currently signed to WWE, ‘The Iron Man’ and ‘The Queen of Insanity’ plied their trade in their homeland prior to making it to the sports entertainment empire, being long-time pillars of the scene and competing for major Scottish groups. Now, alongside the likes of Joe’s Gallus partners Wolfgang and brother Mark Coffey, Alba’s teammate Isla Dawn, multi-time NXT Heritage Cup holder Noam Dar, and ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre, Scotland is represented in bulk in WWE for the first time in history, so much so that the second Clash At The Castle event will hit Glasgow on Saturday, June 15.
That night will see Drew look to lift his second World Heavyweight Championship as he challenges The Judgement Day’s Damian Priest in the main event - but can you name every time a Scottish Superstar held WWE gold? You have eight minutes. Good luck!
