On this day in 2014, Charlotte Flair won her first championship in professional wrestling; the NXT Women’s Championship.

‘The Queen’ became just the second in the title’s history, lifting the vacant strap by besting Natalya in a tournament final during the inaugural NXT TakeOver event. This, of course, was the first notch on the storied championship history that followed the second-generation athlete. In total, Flair is also a one-time Divas Champion, six-time Raw Women’s Champion, seven-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, one-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, and two-time NXT Women’s Champion, winning the title that started it all for her once more in 2020.
