On this day 10 years ago, WWE presented the 2014 Extreme Rules pay-per-view, live from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The first pay-per-view following the previous month’s seminal WrestleMania 30 where Daniel Bryan achieved the inevitable - and, crucially, the first B-level pay-per-view since the launch of the WWE Network on February 28, 2014 - the sixth-annual Extreme Rules event proved to be a fruitful affair. The card was stacked from top to bottom, one of sports entertainment’s most iconic factions had just reformed - albeit without a key member - and WWE was trying something new with its Kickoff match…which somehow stole the entire show!
