2024 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals: Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker def. Trick Melo Gang (Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams) by Pinfall to win the 2024 men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

Marking the finals of the eighth men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with a commendable and well-paced tag team match, both duos relied on frequent tags to keep the bout moving, with a back suplex cutter from Bron Breakker and a suicide dive from Baron Corbin(!) being the match’s leading highlights. Ultimately, this offence proved profitable, with a Breakker-executed Spear to Carmelo Hayes - who took the move for Trick Williams - securing him and Corbin a future opportunity at the NXT Tag Team Championships. No Disqualifications Match: Dijak def. Joe Gacy by Pinfall

Wrestling a barbaric No Disqualifications match that featured the use of tables, duct tape, and Lego, Dijak and Joe Gacy put each other through hell until a second Feast Your Eyes guaranteed victory for the former. The first execution of the move was something of a feat, though, as Dijak was blindfolded via duct tape whilst performing the move - to perfection, it must be stated.

Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail were shown backstage signing Chase U calendars, with Jayne confirming that they will be available to purchase on WWE Shop.

The D’Angelo Family (Tony D’Angelo, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, and Adrianna Rizzo) def. OTM (Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, and Jaida Parker) by Pinfall

The SCRYPTS-led OTM trio kept the match confined to their side of the ring, mauling Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo in a three-on-one assault before, at last, ‘The Underboss’ made the hot tag to Tony D’Angelo. From there, a Family victory was set in stone, with Adrianna Rizzo diving onto the rest of OTM while D’Angelo put Lucien Price away with a fisherman’s neckbreaker for the win.

A vignette aired showcasing Kiana James and Izzi Dame, who chose Kelani Jordan as their next target en route to the NXT Women’s Championship.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams were shown getting checked over backstage; Hayes favoured his ribs after being Speared by Bron Breakker.

NXT Women’s Championship: Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez became a Triple Threat

Starting as a closely-fought, mat-based bout, Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez went move-for-move with each other, with Valkyria almost knocking out ‘The Prodigy’ with a Bullhammer-like elbow at one point. Perez almost became a two-time NXT Women’s Champion after executing a Pop Rocks, which is when Lola Vice cashed in her Breakout Tournament contract. NXT Women’s Championship: Lyra Valkyria def. Lola Vice and Roxanne Perez by Pinfall to retain the NXT Women’s Championship

Laying out an interfering Tatum Paxley at the onset of her arrival, Lola Vice almost secured the NXT Women’s Championship with a spin kick. She, Lyra, and Roxanne continued wrestling a closely-fought encounter doused with finishers, concluding when Lyra Valkyria downed Lola Vice with the Nightwish. Tatum Paxley laid out Roxanne Perez after she came close to victory with a second Pop Rocks. Lyra Valkyria’s reign continues at 100 days.

NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi def. Dragon Lee by Pinfall to retain the NXT North American Championship

In what was effectively a glorified squash match, Oba Femi dismantled Dragon Lee in his first North American Championship defence, allowing the masked luchador little leeway in reclaiming the title. Despite eating a ringside DDT onto a monitor, Femi retained the title over Lee, ending his suffering with an impactful Powerbomb. Oba Femi’s reign continues at 26 days.

Axiom and Nathan Frazer vs. Edris Enofe and Malik Blade, Lexis King vs. Riley Osborne, and Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic celebration were confirmed for the February 6 NXT.

NXT Championship: Ilja Dragunov def. Trick Williams by Pinfall to retain the NXT Championship

Trick Williams’ star-making performances continued at Vengeance Day as he came within inches of dethroning Ilja Dragunov as NXT Champion. Wrestling a violent bout that left both men bloodied, a knee injury to Williams - suffered due to an accidental chop block from Carmelo Hayes - left Trick prone to a Torpedo Moscow that sealed his fate.
