“Man has three faces”, according to a mysterious new figure in NXT.
A new vignette has aired during NXT Vengeance Day, seemingly hyping the arrival of a new figure in WWE’s third brand.
The brief clip was made up of four lines of text depicting an old Japanese proverb which states that a man has three faces. In full, the text read as such:-
“Man has three faces… One the world sees… One his family sees… And the real one no one sees, but reflects the evil he truly possesses…”

Given the nature of the tease and the currently vast pool of free agents from the region, an incoming Japanese-based signing is heavily expected to be behind the tease, with Tama Tonga and Giulia amongst the names being thrown around on social media. Both have been linked with WWE debuts following the announcement of their departures from NJPW and STARDOM, respectively, with Giulia, in particular, all but confirmed to have signed with WWE.
Despite the clip being heavily Japanese-influenced, it is currently highly unlikely that the tease was made for Kazuchika Okada’s WWE arrival. ‘The Rainmaker’, who officially became a free agent on February 1, is expected to land in All Elite Wrestling rather than WWE. Fightful Select reported that AEW already has “tentative” plans in place for the multi-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion should he indeed become All Elite, with his signing rumoured to be Tony Khan’s announcement for the February 7 Dynamite.
Prior to AEW emerging as the solid favourite, there were rumblings Okada was WWE-bound, though these were quickly shot down.
