‘The CEO’ has FINALLY wrestled for AEW - and she left Las Vegas about ten pounds heavier.

Mercedes Moné is the new AEW TBS Champion.

‘The CEO’, now two months deep into her All Elite Wrestling career, wrestled Willow Nightingale as part of the advertised triple main event for Double or Nothing, doing so in an epic war of attrition. Though Willow came within inches of securing her second victory over the former Sasha Banks, she ultimately fell to Mercedes, a Moné Maker sealing her fate.

Mercedes Moné’s victory makes her the fifth TBS Champion in AEW history. The championship, first introduced in late 2021 and first crowned on 2022’s maiden Dynamite, has been held by Jade Cargill, Kris Statlander, Julia Hart, and Willow Nightingale thus far, with Willow’s reign beginning only at Dynasty last month; there, she would be confronted by Moné, who staked her claim to AEW’s second women’s championship.

Will Mercedes Moné Return To WWE?

Mercedes Moné, who famously walked out of WWE in May 2022 while reigning as Women’s Tag Team Champion with Naomi, had been penned to sign with AEW almost immediately after. She finally arrived in the Tony Khan-fronted organisation on March 13’s Dynamite special, titled Big Bu$$iness and marketed in the same manner as CM Punk’s 2021 Rampage arrival.

Despite her signing with AEW, which reportedly made her the highest-paid women’s wrestler in history, Mercedes remains confident that she will one day return to WWE, claiming so on the Kick Rocks Wrestling Podcast mere days before her AEW debut:

“I know I’m going to be back there one day, okay? So it’s not over. Like I said, I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling in a lot of places.”

Numerous AEW talents were said to be dismayed by Mercedes Moné’s comments.
