McKenzie Mitchell hasn't ruled out a WWE return. The former NXT interviewer recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet about her release and why she hasn't ruled out a return to the WWE.

Mitchell's release caught many by surprise, but now that she's had time to process things, she says she's come to have a better understanding on what it all means:

I’m good. You know, I think once the dust has settled, it’s been really, it’s a blessing. I think that there are so many new beginnings, and I’m excited to see what’s to come in the future. The outreach and the support that I’ve gotten from friends, family, coworkers, colleagues, production, staff executives in WWE, the fans most importantly, it’s been insane. That’s what made me emotional when I got released was being able to hear from everyone how much I impacted their opinion when watching WWE and when watching NXT...

McKenzie told Chris Van Vliet that there are still many things she'd like to do in the WWE, such as conduct a big interview at WrestleMania or host a kick-off show for a main roster premium live event. Mitchell explained that everyone in the WWE has their idea of a WrestleMania moment regardless of whether they're an announcer, wrestler, or interviewer.

Would McKenzie Mitchell Return to the WWE?

It sounds like McKenzie has unfinished business in the WWE.

“Never say never. I know that people say that and it kind of sounds cliche. But it’s true. I didn’t get to have my goodbye in WWE. I didn’t get to choose to leave. And that’s where I was saying I think some people need to take a break, I didn’t get that opportunity to say, I’m ready to take a break. I was ready to keep on going and go to WrestleMania and do the Royal Rumble and all of those things. So it was really awesome to hear Shawn [Michaels] say those things, never say never.”

What's Next for McKenzie?

Wrestling fans have seen wrestlers and wrestling personalities leave the WWE only to return to the company. They've also seen individuals find success in other promotions or outside the wrestling industry. McKenzie told Chris Van Vliet she's exploring her options in entertainment including the music industry. She also discussed how she and her husband Vic Joseph (whom she met during their time together working in NXT) have discussed starting a family.

McKenzie Mitchell fans know she has a lot going on for herself and while success is never guaranteed, her work ethic makes it likely we haven't heard the last from her. What do you think the future holds for McKenzie Mitchell?
