Some Interesting News Stories and Rumors

Time for some last-minute Royal Rumble spoilers. If you like to watch a PLE and be surprised, click here to be spirited away to the incredible news of Slim Jim returning to the WWE promotional family. We'll look at an "off-the-wall surprise," some last-minute entrants, Brock Lesnar's replacement, and who will enter at number one.

The Royal Rumble is one of the most-anticipated WWE events due to The Royal Rumble match itself. Part of the match's magic is the element of surprise inherent in the bout. Which WWE Superstars will participate? Which new wrestlers will debut in the Rumble? Which former WWE Superstars will return, either for one night or a new campaign in the promotion. Last, but not least, will any wrestlers from other promotions show up?

This year's Rumble promises to offer some surprises. Like any news stories, there's always an element of mystery to them and as fans have seen before, nothing is etched in stone. That being said, WrestleLamia's Royal Rumble News and Rumors videos contains some potential surprises. Check it out then we'll have the latest on rumored surprise appearances.

"Off the Wall" Surprises

An interesting story broke from Fightful Select that the WWE was considering an off the wall" surprise. This was a reference to the WWE bringing in wrestlers from other promotions. Now, it appears the WWE is working with TNA to bring in Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace. PWInsider Elite reports Grace (who is signed to a long-term deal with TNA Wrestling) will be at the show. Ringside News commented on the report:

Jordynne Grace is set to be billed as the ‘Knockouts World Champion’ and will feature her TNA theme song and video graphics as part of her presentation.

Some Last-Minute Possibilities

In addition, Fightful notes that several female NXT Superstars have been spotted. While this isn't proof they'll be competing, the report noted the presence of:

Tiffany Stratton, Carmelo Hayes and Blair Davenport

Jade Cargill's name continues to be mentioned as a surprise entrant. The former AEW TBS Champion has been training at the WWE Performance Center. Depending on her progress, the Rumble could be a great starting point before she works on weekly TV.

Brock Lesnar's Replacement

Rumor has it that Brock Lesnar won't be in the Rumble. While there was speculation that "The Beast" would show up (as he normally does around this time of the year), the conjecture that he was an individual alluded to in the sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon has led to the belief he won't be in the match. Now, PWInsider Elite reports that Bron Breakker will be in the match instead. However, as WrestleTalk's Liam Winnard observed:

This doesn’t necessarily mean the exact creative plan for Lesnar will be followed by Breakker, but Lesnar’s spot in the match is going to him.

Rumor on First Entrant in Men's Royal Rumble

Finally, Fightful Select reports that "Main Event" Jey Uso will enter the Rumble at number one. This is always a tough spot to be in, but it's often used to elevate a wrestler by having them enter at number one and emerge as a runner-up (and in rare cases, the winner). Last year's Men's Rumble saw Gunther enter at number one and end up as the runner-up.

It sounds like this year's Rumble will be one for the ages. Be sure to check back for our real-time results here and our exclusive recap and analysis at our YouTube channel.

What do you think of these potential surprises?
