What's Sane's Role in Saudi Arabia?

Is Kairi Sane returning at Crown Jewel? Sane's return has been described as "imminent" in recent news stories. Now, it appears the WWE will use Crown Jewel for the former NXT Women's Champion to make a big splash.

Here's what's being reported by PWInsider's Mike Johnson:

The word making the rounds this morning among talent is that Sane may be returning as soon as tomorrow's Crown Jewel PPV.

Sane recently finished her wrestling obligations in Japan, which squared with reports earlier this summer that Sane was expected sometime in November.

Sane's Many Potential Roles at Crown Jewel

What will Kairi Sane do if she shows up at Crown Jewel? Sane has close ties with Asuka, her former partner in the Kabuki Warriors. However, Asuka isn't booked for the show. One possibility is that Kairi Sane shows up at some point during Iyo Sky's WWE Women's Championship defense against Bianca Belair. If Sane shows up, will she help Sky or help Belair fight off any outside interference from Sky's allies in Damage-CTRL? There are other possibilities. Sane could challenge the winner of the match afterwards. In the event things break down between Sky and the other members of Damage-CTRL, Sane could show up to help Sky or join Damage-CTRL. However, there doesn't seem to be any need for Sane to join Damage-CTRL unless she was to usurp Bayley's role as leader.

A Long-Awaited Return

According to a recent Fightful Select report, the WWE has wanted to bring Sane back for some time. Apparently, Sane was on the WWE's wish list when Triple H began bringing back former talents following his appointment as the WWE's Chief Content Officer.

Sane has the potential for a dynamic singles run, something she didn't have on the main roster. Instead, Sane spent most of her main roster campaign as one-half of The Kabuki Warriors, her team with Asuka. Whether the WWE continues this association could affect the balance of power on SmackDown as Asuka will no longer have to deal with the numbers disadvantage against Damage-CTRL.

What do you think the WWE will do with Kairi Sane when she returns? Do you think she'll return at Crown Jewel?
