Who Will Cena Face?
John Cena has been added to Crown Jewel, great news for Cena fans who have been enjoying his extended return to the WWE. Now, fans know who the 16-time world champion will face. If you've been following SmackDown, you're probably not surprised. People magazine broke the story:
This should be a brutal bout as Solo Sikoa has had his sights on Cena ever since the WWE legend returned following the Screen Actor's Guild strike. Cena has been a thorn in The Bloodline's side, helping to even the odds whenever Roman Reigns' henchmen have tried to take out wrestlers.
Cena recently teamed with LA Knight at Fastlane, taking on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Cena and Knight won, despite The Bloodline's efforts to take LA Knight out of the hunt for Roman Reigns' Undisputed Championship.
Although Cena's future in the WWE is uncertain as he'll be called back to Hollywood once the writer's strike is settled, he's taking advantage of every opportunity.
This is a huge match for Solo Sikoa because this is Cena's first solo PLE match since his return to the WWE. "The Enforcer" has much to prove because he and Jimmy Uso came up short against Cena and Knight. This is a must-win match for Solo. At the same time, Cena has never competed at Crown Jewel and a win here would be another feather in his cap. It's worth noting that this is also Solo's first singles match on a PLE so expectations will be high.
The match will be interesting as it could be used to set up Cena's exit from the WWE. The WWE could have Cena do a stretcher job, effectively writing him off TV and allowing him to concentrate on his Hollywood projects for the inevitable end to the strike.
Then again, if Solo loses, this could lead to another rift in The Bloodline as Roman Reigns tries to assert his authority over Solo, only to eat a Samoan Spike. What do you think will happen at Crown Jewel?
