Time for a wild rumor concerning rapidly rising SmackDown Superstar Grayson Waller and the WWE’s upcoming SummerSlam show. WRKD Wrestling recently reported:

While nothing is set in stone, ideas have been pitched to have a SummerSlam weekend segment between Grayson Waller and a WWE legend. Reactions backstage have been very favorable for the young star’s segments with John Cena and Edge.

Waller’s gift of gab and his skill at manipulating the crowd’s mood makes him ideal for an in-ring segment whether it’s with an active WWE Superstar such as Edge, an icon like John Cena, or even a WWE Legend. While this is pure speculation on WrestleLamia’s report, rumor has it that The Undertaker will be in Detroit. If so, might “The Phenom make an in-ring appearance against Waller?

Although The Undertaker is always a welcome sight for fans, Waller has called out Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on social media and on SmackDown, leading to the belief “The People’s Champion” may appear in the near future. Waller spoke with The MMA Hour’s Ariel Helwani, offering to help The Rock rehabilitate his image:

“SummerSlam is always a big show. All of a sudden, people start seeing what I can do for these legends. Grayson Waller is on the WWE Legend Rehabilitation Program right now. If you’re a WWE legend, it’s hard, Twitter, Instagram, you don’t know how to go on socials. Come and talk to me, I’ll make you relevant again. You saw me do that with John Cena. You saw me do it with Edge.”

Grayson then directed his attention to The Rock, who is sidelined from acting thanks to the current Screen Actors Guild strike:

“[Rock] is out of work right now. He’s unemployed, correct? Actors are on strike. Technically, he’s unemployed and needs some work. Who better to help The Rock than Grayson Waller? I just sent out a video. I didn’t even tag him. People think I was clout chasing, I didn’t even tag him. All of a sudden, he’s coming back with the same insults he’s been using for 15 years. I remember when I was 15 and thought you were funny, that was cool. It’s an open invitation for the Grayson Waller Effect.”
