This past Saturday at the Royal Rumble PLE, Bron Breakker had a star-making performance.

The former NXT Champion truly shined in the match, and it was implied that Breakker had been called up to the WWE main roster. Breakker even implied as such during his promo for WWE’s digital channels. Breakker would state that the main roster is his home, and he plans to continue his Rumble rivalry with The Judgment Day faction.

Contrary to this, the head of NXT, Shawn Michaels appeared on the Battleground podcast, and HBK stated that Breakker still has work to do in NXT:

“He may feel like that’s his home, but he still has work here in NXT to do, whether he likes it or not. Our job is to lose talent. He’s one that, I’m going to have trouble letting him go. I can assure you that there is more left for Bron Breakker here at NXT, one way or another. He’s an incredibly talented, very gifted young man. As far as I’m concerned, he’s young and, as we say, full of piss and vinegar. If he wants to double time, he can certainly do it, but I’m not letting him go that easy…”

We will have to wait and see as to what the creative direction for Breakker is going to be.
