Reports Suggest Liv Morgan's Progress Still Uncertain
Are there concerns about Liv Morgan's recovery from her shoulder injury? That appears to be the case based on a recent report from PWInsider. Morgan injured her shoulder twice in 2023. The first time was during a WWE Women's Tag Team Championship defense alongside co-champion Raquel Rodriguez. The two had to vacate their titles as Morgan was expected to be out of action for some time. Morgan returned, teaming with Rodriguez to capture the titles again at Money in the Bank. Unfortunately, Morgan injured her shoulder again, this time when she and Rodriguez dropped the belts to Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green.
The WWE wrote Morgan off TV with a kayfabe injury inflicted by Rhea Ripley. Since then, Morgan has been out of action, with Raquel Rodriguez seeking revenge on Ripley. However, there have been no updates on Morgan's recovery, leading to questions including whether she's had any setbacks in her recovery and just when she'll be back. Now, PWInsider's Mike Johnson is reporting:
a WWE source noted she is still dealing with her shoulder injury and recovery. Â Their belief was that she would likely be heading back to Birmingham, Alabama sometime this month for her latest evaluation. They did not know a timetable for her eventual return.

Liv Morgan's star has been on the rise since she won the 2022 Women's Money in the Bank briefcase, successfully cashing it in against Ronda Rousey. Prior to this, Morgan had made many attempts at capturing a world championship. Unfortunately, a win always eluded her. While Morgan's SmackDown Women's Championship reign was criticized (largely due to critics' inability to believe Morgan had much of a chance against someone with Rousey's skills), she always worked hard to make the best of her opportunity.
Morgan's later run in the tag team division met with much success. However, back-to-back injuries put a stop to that. Worse, it's unknown if WWEÂ officials will see her as someone that is injury prone and be reluctant to push her.
For now, the most important thing is that Morgan gets the treatment she needs for a full recovery. She has a solid fan base and the WWEÂ should consider continuing her push as the promotion has very few established wrestlers at Morgan's level, that is, someone who can work upper-card programs and slip into the main event as needed.
In the meantime, WrestleLamia sends its best to Liv Morgan for a fast and full recovery.
