Positive news...
When Punk returned to WWE last month, there was concern regarding how he was going to get along with several key figures in WWE, and one of these figures was Road Dogg.
Road Dogg, who serves as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Live Events, has been open in the past regarding his negative feelings towards Punk, and as we all know, Punk never forgets those individuals who have bad-mouthed him in the past.
Thankfully, Road Dogg revealed that the two have officially made amends, and are now on good terms, and are even working together.
Speaking on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Road Dogg revealed:
“All that negativity came out of me when he looked at me and he shrugged. And it’s like that ‘Brothers, don’t shake hands, brothers gottta hug’ thing, and we hugged. It made me feel good for him to do that, by the way. “It made me immediately feel ashamed of my behavior, not his, not anything he did…”
“It made me ashamed of my behavior. We then had a couple of ‘I believe God works in mysterious ways,’ and he worked that weekend. That weekend, I was stuck in Stamford. Every bit of it was orchestrated to put me and Punk in certain situations. We were just put together for like five days in a row working together and speaking about the future, and working with what I do in my job.”
This is great news, and it’s been made clear that Punk is working incredibly hard to get along with everyone.
Next week is a huge week for the former WWE Champion, as Punk is set to take on Dominik Mysterio on December 26 at Madison Square Garden. This will be Punk’s first official WWE match in almost a decade.
