Does This Mean Brock's Star Has Fallen?
Brock Lesnar is set to make history with the 2023 Crown Jewel PLE. Will Lesnar defeat both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, uniting both world championships? No, Brock's days as the WWE's "King of All Monsters" has passed (although he's certainly a force to be reckoned with). No, Brock is going to make history if he doesn't wrestle at the WWE's 4 November Saudi supershow. If this happens (and it's believed it will), this will be the first time "The Beast Incarnate" hasn't worked one of the WWE's twice-yearly events in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. However, does this mean Brock's star in the WWE has fallen? Is "The Beast Incarnate" just another main eventer?
The WWE has some big matches booked for Crown Jewel. This is no surprise as the WWE always goes out of its way to book big-time bouts when it visits Saudi Arabia. It's also believed that the Saudi Sports Authority expects the WWE to treat each show as a WrestleMania (check out our story on why the WWE is treating Crown Jewel like a WrestleMania).
PWInsider is reporting that Brock Lesnar isn't expected to work at Crown Jewel:
Brock Lesnar is not in the creative mix for the 11/4 WWE Crown Jewel PPV in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will not be appearing at that PPV, PWInsiderElite.com has confirmed with multiple sources. It will be the first Saudi Arabia PPV since WWE began producing events for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that will not feature Lesnar.

However, fans shouldn't see Lesnar's rumored absence as a sign that "The Beast" lacks the star power he once brought. Apparently, the WWE is satisfied with the amount of top talent working the show. PWInsider noted:
WWE sources indicate that the company opted not to bring Lesnar into the plans for this event as with Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight, plus John Cena and Logan Paul, etc. all resulting in an immediate sellout of the venue, it was best to save Lesnar for a future event in the market.
‍
Brock Lesnar's value to the WWE is unlikely to diminish anytime soon and his absence from Crown Jewel has nothing to do with him losing his status in the WWE. While the case can be made that there's no such thing as too much star power, the WWE likely doesn't want to set the bar so high for Saudi shows that subsequent events seem like disappointments.
Lesnar's absence will also make his eventual return even more special. Brock is now the WWE's "special attraction," similar to how stars like Bruno Sammartino were used in the WWF during the 80s (and how Vince McMahon wanted to use Hulk Hogan in the 90s until Hogan decided to head to WCW).
Will you miss Brock Lesnar at this year's Crown Jewel?
