Earlier this week, NXT Champion, Trick Williams boldly challenged NXT commentator, Booker T to come out of retirement and have one more match against him.

On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker has since answered the challenge, and unfortunately, Booker has no plans to come out of retirement to face the talented young star:

“[Trick] is getting ready to take over the world. I want to see that kid take over the world. I don’t want to be in there trying to mix it up with this kid or anything like that. I mean, he is the future of this business. I want to be able to step aside and be that dude in the passenger seat navigating this kid’s career to that next level…”

The former World Champion could of course change his mind, but it’s looking like Booker is staying at the commentary table.

Booker last wrestled for WWE last year, when he made a cameo in the annual Royal Rumble matchup.
