It’s now official that The Authors of Pain have returned to the WWE, as they were teased in Karrion’s Kross promo on Smackdown in a blink-and-you-’ll-miss-them moment.

During the promo, Scarlett asked, “Do you see the vision?” before the silhouette of Paul Ellering, Akam, and Rezar appeared on screen.

The Authors of Pain haven’t been on a WWE platform since their appearance in NXT in 2014. They made their debut on Raw in April 2018.

Things didn’t go as planned, as Akam suffered a biceps injury in March 2020, taking the duo off TV. They would then be released in September 2020.

They’ll be pushed as a faction with Kross as WWE again tries to get Kross over with the fans.
