USA Network Teases Fans with "Best in the World" Comment
Another Clue that CM Punk is WWE-Bound? That's the question being raised after the USA Network commented on video of Shinsuke Nakamura hitting the GTS. While fans have heard every possible story concerning Punk, this is the latest hint he could be coming back. If not, you have to wonder whether the WWE is playing some serious mind games with wrestling's "Straight Edge Superstar."
Ringside News' Subhojeet Mukherjee commented on a recent comment made at the WWE's Instagram account:
Adding to the intrigue, WWE posted a video of Nakamura performing the GTS on its official platforms. The USA Network’s Instagram account even commented on the video, using Punk’s famous moniker, “Best in the World.”
H/T Ringside News
Savvy wrestling fans know that the WWE is not going to announce Punk's return ahead of time if it wants to make the return a surprise. This means WWE sources are unlikely to disclose any information unless it's in the company's interest. It's also likely that if the WWE is planning to bring Punk back, it is keeping the information to a select few. With that in mind, it wouldn't take a genius to figure out where the leak came from.
Whatever happens, fans will have to wait until Survivor Series to see if Punk returns or whether the WWE and the USA Network are having fun dropping meaningless teases.
What do you think is going on with Punk and the WWE?
