There's actually more opponents to think about.

Shinsuke Nakamura has left cryptic promos and actions towards his opponent for weeks. Who he is referring to has been shrouded in mystery. Here’s a list of the top 3 potential opponents that might face the King of Strong Style at Survivor Series.

1.CM Punk.

‍

All signs point to the Voice of the Voiceless being the No.1 candidate to face Nakamura at Survivor Series. Most of Nakamura’s messages correlate with performing the GTS on Raw and a promo ending alluding to CM Punk’s iconic “Cult of Personality” theme song.
CM Punk has denied countless times online that it isn’t him, and so has WWE themselves, stating they have no interest in Punk now. It wouldn’t be the first time that both superstar and company have denied the allegations to make the surprise appearance receive a bigger pop. That being said, CM Punk's return to the WWE would be a huge boost to the WWE roster, and millions of fans will be tuning in to see one of the wrestlers' most polarizing superstars.

2.Brock Lesnar.

We haven’t seen the Beast Incarnate since Backlash on May 6th after losing to Cody Rhodes. Could this be the mystery opponent meant to take on Nakamura? Though it’s a long stretch, the 2 have crossed paths in NJPW. Brock defeated Nakamura for the IWGP Championship back in 2006. Nakamura was even upset by this loss, stating that Brock didn’t care about the company. A well-done revenge angle can reignite the feud, and Brock is never hard to lure back as long as it’s the right price. A runback between the 2 would be a spectacle to see.

3.AJ Styles

‍

Speaking of rivalries,  these 2 have been friends and foes since NJPW. That rivalry also made its way to the WWE as the two faced off at Wrestlemania and continued until Money in the Bank. Many considered the payoff to be unimpressive as Shinsuke lost both matches. This could be a way to reinvigorate this feud, as AJ Style has yet to return to TV. Nakamura vs AJ is still a strong draw and would be a match worth seeing on the card. It would be a chance at redemption for Nakamura, whose push was slowed down due to the back-to-back losses.

4.Kazuchika Okada.

‍

It would be a spectacle to see Okada in the WWE. It would be jaw-dropping to see him as the opponent for Shinsuke Nakamura. Okada is currently a free agent, and WWE has been reported to show interest in the Rainmaker. The two have crossed paths in Japan, including a 5-star match in the G1 classic. With the chemistry that both men share in the ring and the popularity of Japanese stars rising, a match between Okada and Nakamura will put buts in seats and create a buzz in the wrestling world.

So, which man will be facing across from Nakamura? The only way to find out is to tune in to Survivor Series this Saturday.
