2024 is set to be a big year...

2024 is well underway, and as WWE moves forward with potentially one of the biggest years in their history, there are numerous wrestlers that will likely be pushed up the card.

These names have proven over the past 12-months that they have what it takes to be pushed into the main event scene in WWE, and with several major events coming up including WrestleMania 40, as well as several international Premium Live Events, it’s only a matter of time before these stars are placed in featured matches.

So, with that being said, let’s examine 10 wrestlers that WWE will push in 2024.

10: Grayson Waller

Since his official main roster call-up in 2023, Grayson Waller has managed to become one of the top heels on SmackDown. Waller’s promo work has been stellar, and his in-ring work has gradually improved as the months have gone on. Waller has been given major opportunities including having a promo exchange with John Cena, and even having one of Edge’s last matches in WWE. To say that Waller exceeded all expectations with these opportunities would be an understatement, and Waller managed to prove to the entire world that he has what it takes to hang with WWE’s very best.

WWE have Elimination Chamber coming up in Perth, and Waller, being from Australia will likely have a prominent place on the card. Whilst it makes sense to push Waller heading into the international PLE, Waller has earned his push, and the 2024 Elimination Chamber event could be one of the stand-out moments of Waller’s entire career.

Fans are already speculating that Waller may be in-line for the Money in the Bank briefcase in the summer. Waller is the perfect fit for what the briefcase represents, and it would make for some interesting and riveting TV seeing Waller as Mr Money in the Bank.

9: Bron Breakker

When Bron Breakker was first pushed in NXT, fans were quick to assume that Breakker was pushed because of his bloodline; however, in the years since his NXT debut, Breakker has shown the world that he is a big-time player.

Breakker has been able to portray various different roles in the company, and his spear is often labelled as the best spear in pro wrestling.

Breakker even took part in a segment with The Undertaker in 2023, which was a sign that WWE saw big things in Breakker’s future.

Breakker is just 26 years old and has years to ascend to the top of WWE, yet WWE should ultimately capitalise on Breakker’s popularity, and move him up to the main roster as soon as possible.

Breakker colliding with names such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and even CM Punk would be awesome to see, and maybe WWE could potentially re-visit the pre-existing relationship between Breakker and The Wiseman, Paul Heyman.

8: Solo Sikoa

Throughout 2023, it was made apparent that Solo Sikoa was on WWE’s radar to become a main event superstar.

Sikoa defeated John Cena clean at the Crown Jewel event, giving Sikoa the biggest win of his career, and although the presentation of Sikoa hasn’t been the best since this win, 2024 will likely be the year in which Sikoa is firmly placed in the main event picture.

Sikoa has done a great job in his role in The Bloodline, and despite criticisms that his character is flat and one dimensional, WWE booking Sikoa to wrestle more on TV may change this narrative.

Similarly, to other names on this list, Sikoa must be considered a favourite for the Money in the Bank ladder match, which would be a unique direction for WWE to take.

7: Ludwig Kaiser

The star of the Imperium faction is no doubt Gunther; however, in 2023, Ludwig Kaiser was able to deliver some of the finest work of his WWE tenure.

Kaiser is incredibly charismatic, and his promo ability is top tier. Kaiser’s in-ring work has always received acclaim, yet throughout the last year, fans have seen firsthand just how good Kaiser is at the more sports entertainment elements of pro wrestling.

Kaiser may be pushed up the card during the second half of the year, as WWE presents Bash in Berlin, and with Kaiser being German, Kaiser should have a role on the show, and perhaps a potential showdown with his Imperium team-mate, Gunther may be the way to go.

6: Gunther

Upon being called up to the WWE main roster, fans around the world were concerned regarding how Gunther would be presented.

Thankfully, Vince McMahon pushed Gunther, and made him Intercontinental Champion, and when McMahon took a step-back, Triple H went all the way with presenting Gunther as The Ring General.

Gunther’s body of work over the past few years has been tremendous, as Gunther continues to have classic after classic, all whilst restoring and enhancing the prestigious Intercontinental Title.

Gunther’s reign is showing no signs of ending, yet there has been a vocal push from fans to see Gunther as World Champion, and at one stage, it looked like Gunther was going to be one of the favourites to win the Royal Rumble.

Gunther has so many exciting feuds that could be booked in 2024. There’s the acclaimed Chad Gable storyline, that is still yet to come to its natural conclusion, and there’s also the potential dream match with Brock Lesnar, that surely should take place on a huge stage like WrestleMania.

5: LA Knight

2023 was the breakout year for LA Knight. Knight organically managed to get over with the crowd, and he went from a goofy manager to main eventing a Premium Live Event against Roman Reigns.

Over the past six-months or so, WWE have presented Knight as one of the top babyfaces on SmackDown, and this is unlikely to change any time soon. Although Knight lost his aforementioned match against Reigns, this has done little to impact Knight’s connection with the audience. Knight’s merchandise continues to sell like hot cakes, and it would be truly nonsensical if WWE moved Knight down the card, when he is still incredibly popular in his role.

2024 is likely to see Knight win his first singles title on the main roster, as it’s heavily rumoured that Knight will take on Logan Paul at WrestleMania 40 for the US Title.

4: Dominik Mysterio

2023 was a banner year for Dominik Mysterio. Mysterio was given the push of a lifetime as Mysterio was a key part of all three major WWE TV products, and he even wrestled names such as Cody Rhodes, John Cena, and even CM Punk.

Mysterio’s work as a heel has been extraordinary, and the fans have a strong hatred for Mysterio, and this helps make any of Mysterio’s feuds and matches engaging and more importantly, entertaining.

It’s unknown what 2024 has in store for Dirty Dom, yet his promising booking is likely to continue, and Mysterio will no doubt have a key role at WrestleMania 40 in April.

Fans have been throwing around the idea of Mysterio winning Money in the Bank, which could cause a riot in the arena if WWE went through with the idea. Is Mysterio at the level to become a World Champion? It’s hard to say, but one thing is clear, whatever WWE has planned for the former NXT North American Champion, Mysterio is going to put his all into making sure it works and gets over with the audience.

3: Bayley

Bayley has a golden reputation in the WWE locker room. The Role Model of WWE is seen as the locker room leader by many -  and is considered to be one of the most selfless talents to ever step foot in a WWE ring.

2024 could be the year in which Bayley is finally rewarded for all her hard-work, and a babyface turn should be on the horizon. Bayley’s work both as a babyface and a heel is well documented, yet it’s her work as a loveable babyface which has a special place in the hearts of the WWE fan-base.

Bayley is set to be facing IYO SKY at WrestleMania 40 in April, and this will be incredibly satisfying to see Bayley have her first ever WrestleMania singles match, and ultimately take her place as one of the top babyfaces in all of WWE.

2: Chelsea Green

Since being re-hired by WWE, Chelsea Green has managed to prove herself to the fans, as well as WWE management. Green has a fully realised character, and Green has been so committed to the character, that she often uses her own social media pages to further the motivations and motives of her ‘Karen-esque’ persona.

Green’s in-ring work has also been excellent since returning, and although Green has predominantly been involved in the tag-division, a singles run is inevitable at this stage.

In terms of 2024, Green must be considered the undisputed favourite for the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase, and Green has already started sharing fan edits of her with the briefcase, so even Green believes she’s in with a decent shot of winning the illustrious briefcase.

1: CM Punk

CM Punk shook the wrestling world in late 2023, when he returned to WWE after almost a decade. Since Punk’s WWE return, he has arguably become the biggest draw in the entire company. Punk is consistently WWE’s top merchandise mover, and before his unfortunate injury, Punk was expected to have a main event role at WrestleMania 40.

Punk vs. Seth Rollins was set to be one of the top rivalries of 2024, and there is a strong chance that Punk becomes World Champion at some point in the calendar year upon returning from his injury.

WWE pushing Punk as one of the top guys in the company will likely continue when he’s healthy enough to make a comeback, that’s if WWE and Punk remain on the same page, and if they do, then Punk’s second WWE tenure could see a legendary run for the multi-time WWE Champion.
