The former WWE Superstar reigned as TNA champion for 182 days.
Trinity has lost the TNA Knockouts World Championship to Jordynne Grace at tonight’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
The former Naomi defended against ‘The Juggernaut’ in the evening’s semi-main event. In what was a competitively-fought contest, it was a Juggernaut Driver from Jordynne that ended Trinity’s 182-day reign with the Knockouts World Championship. This marks Jordynne Grace’s third reign with the title since her 2018 debut.
Joining TNA, then-IMPACT Wrestling, in April 2023, Trinity became a huge draw for the promotion and was almost instantly positioned as the Knockouts division’s queenpin, toppling Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts World Championship at Slammiversary last July. Defences against Purrazzo, Alisha Edwards, and Mickie James followed, with her reign concluding at 182 days.
In other notable title changes from Hard To Kill, Moose dethroned Alex Shelley to lift the World Championship for the second time, the reformed Decay felled MK Ultra for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championships, and on the Countdown To Hard To Kill pre-show, Crazzy Steve won the Digital Media Championship from Tommy Dreamer.
Trinity’s loss of the Knockouts World Championship didn’t come as a surprise, given the swirling speculation that she is due back in WWE, likely in the Royal Rumble match. Her expected return was all but confirmed as, too, as in an unaired post-match segment, she waved goodbye and blew a kiss to the live crowd.
Real name Trinity McCray, she departed WWE in May 2022 alongside Sasha Banks, giving up their Women’s Tag Team Championships in the process. Prior to this, she had been with the company since 2009, holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice.
